Trick or Treat Time

Saturday morning began with Emilio's soccer game. It was a little wet and muddy, but a great game......all the kids did awesome playing, and Emilio even scored several goals!!!
The Three Musketeers! Buddies in preschool AND on the soccer field.

On Saturday afternoon, John and the kids and I grabbed hot drinks from Starbucks, and trekked into Seattle to a co-worker of John's boat house. We had a nice time right on Lake Union, and the kids had fun with all the activities at the party including decorating a small pumpkin and playing a make a mummy game. They even won prizes!
That night we enjoyed Grubbin' Spicy Chicken Soup, Maple Corn Bread, and a green salad with family and friends (my brother Andrew and his new wife Karen Rose were even able to make it up from Portland) before Trick or Treating.
Luci the "Ladybug," Marco the "Bob the Builder,"Emilio the "Pirate," Eloisa the "Fifties Girl," and Gabi the "Snow White."
She should really have a halo above her head instead of horns, she's such an angel baby!

The kids had so much fun trick or treating. My niece Eloisa was really getting the hang of it....until the "Scary House." There wasn't anything in particular that was scary on the outside of the house, but after the kids rang the doorbell, it took quite some time for someone to answer, building up the suspense. When the door did open, it was very slow and a scary ape masked guy appeared....scaring the living daylights out of the kids, especially my niece and nephew. I happened to have caught it on video!

It was traumatizing!

The kids received new pajamas from Nonno and Nana, like last year. Treasure Map jams for the boys, and Fairy jams for the girls!

Enjoying yummy homemade caramel apples!
