Lost Teeth

A few weeks ago when we were at the beach, Emilio lost his first tooth!!! He was so excited, and it was fun for him to share it with both sets of grandparents (who happened to be with us). That night he readjusted the tooth (in a Ziploc bag) over and over again under his pillow just so the Tooth Fairy wouldn't miss it. He lucked out and got $1.00 for his tooth, and lucked out even more when both sets of grandparents matched that dollar.
Exactly a week later, Emilio lost his second bottom tooth. He tucked his tooth gently into a tooth pillow (we had found for cheap at the Dollar Tree) and received another dollar from the Tooth Fairy. He looks so cute with his toothless grin, like a bona fide KINDERGARTNER! He asked me if he looks goofy, but I just told him all 5,6,7 and 8 year olds are supposed to look that way.

After losing his first tooth! He couldn't stop smiling. Now, his two adult teeth are growing in.

OR Coast Trip

A few weeks ago we went to the Oregon Coast with my parents, John's parents who had flown in from Chicago, and one of my brothers, Andrew and his wife Karen Rose. We didn't have really warm weather, but it wasn't horrible either, no rain. Some of the highlights of our trip included making lots of sand castles, flying kites, bocce ball, card games, a big jigsaw puzzle, Mo's clam chowder, the Oregon Coast Scenic Train trip, salt water taffy and sea foam in Cannon Beach, an amazing mural painted by my mother in law for my upcoming class in VBS, and just time together as a family.
