Seattle's Festa Italiana

We had to REPRESENT our Italian side this morning and head up to Seattle's Festa Italiana! The Gorias and Tolomeis all piled in Michael's SUV (John, Me, Gabi, Emilio, Emily, Marco and Mike), picked up some Starbucks and chocolate milk for the kiddos, and went to the Seattle Center where the festival was taking place. We got there kind of early, but it was nice to beat the crowds. The kids got to make red, green and white colored macoroni jewlery, color, throw bocce balls, Emilio got to toss pizza dough (he tossed it behind him and it landed on the cement...oops), and eat pizza and Italian cookies. WE listened to little kids sing Italian songs and an old man sing "Hey Mambo, Mambo Italiano," and we ate meatball and Italian sausage sandwhiches for lunch. The kids also loved the big fountain in the middle of the Seattle Center buildings. We wished we could have caught the grape stomping competition but that was later in the day, oh well. It was a very nice morning outing and fun that it was free to get in too. Here are some cute pix;
