Today, my favorite little guy in the whole world is 5 years old! I can't believe what a big boy he's become. He has been an absolute joy to have in our lives and we love him so much. I feel so grateful to have such a spunky, friendly, adventuresome, intelligent, sensitive, and funny kid like Emilio. Don't get me wrong, he makes me want to pull my hair out at times.......like when he bugs his sister constantly, wants to use the word "poop" in every other sentence, and is so curious we are continually finding Emilio's handiwork all over our house (from scratches on the hardwood floors, tables, and cars, to pools of water from some science experiment, grimy fingerprints on the walls, to rocks/sticks stuck in various appliances), but it is the good/bad that makes him so charming. We thank God for Emilio Jordan!
Here is a smilebox of the family party we threw for him last weekend when John's family from Chicago and my family from Portland were in town. It was a fun day, and we are very appreciative of my brother and sister in law for throwing the get together at their home. They had it all decorated, and made some delicious food to boot.
