Last weekend we had E's first soccer game. It was a warm morning, and the kids were excited, but we couldn't help but wonder how the game would go since we had only 2 practices before, and weren't sure if the kids even had the concept of the game down. They actually did pretty well. It seems fairly normal at this age for the teammates to move about the field as if they are a little swarm of bumble bees all huddled together, and even more normal that they all enjoyed playing in the dirt as much as running around. The other team was pretty darn good and beat our cute little Sharks team to a pulp (thankfully they don't keep score at this age). Emilio had a really good attitude and played hard though. He actually got two goals for his team which was exciting! He had fun which is what is important at this stage. We are looking forward to another game tomorrow.

too sunny, can't see

GO SHARKS!

After the game we headed out to the
Puyallap Fair with my brother's family. We had fun taste testing corn dogs, curly fries, corn fritters, slushies, and scones with raspberry jam. The kids had a blast going on a few rides, although Emilio looked pretty sick on the kiddie coaster he went on. We also saw the goats, bunnies, mini horses, and pigs of course (couldn't leave the fair without getting Gabi over to the pigs). And boy, were they ginormous pigs....something like 600 lbs with a bunch of piglets running about. We had a really fun time altogether. Here is proof:

The car ride home was quiet
