Last week John's family (his mom, dad, sister, her husband and their 2 month old daughter) were out from the Midwest. We decided to hit up the Woodland Park zoo on Monday. We had never been to Seattle's zoo (only Tacoma's before) and Nathan (Jennette's husband) had never been to a zoo before believe it or not. We decided he really must experience it especially now that he's a father. The animals were hit or miss at the zoo mostly because the animal habitats were so lush with vegetation, spacious and realistic that the creatures could often hide from the public a little better. It seems like this zoo just provided more natural spaces for their animals and I was impressed. It was a perfect 70's kind of day in Seattle and beautiful. We all had a nice time. Emilio and Gabi really liked the baby gorilla, the Komodo dragon, and the goats and pigs on the farm.
