not in the bloggy mood

I haven't really been in the bloggity blog mood lately. Too many other things going on around here. Its a busy month for our family.

  • My mom's birthday was last weekend which we all celebrated together up here. Made this relatively light dessert that was a huge hit! We also took the kids to play miniature golf for the first time which was a riot.
  • We are looking forward to John's parents coming for a visit tonight for a long weekend. We don't have anything extraordinary planned this time, but are excited to just hang out with them, watch movies and play games together.
  • John has a conference to attend in New Orleans for work this month. He's never been before so that will be interesting for him. That'll leave me with three kiddos for a few days before more family arrives. So, yea!, breakfast for dinner for us since John usually isn't a huge fan.
  • We will be heading out to CA for my Nonno's memorial this month. It'll be nice for the whole family to be together to remember his life and all the memories we have with him. There will be an open sharing time which I've been preparing for. We might hit up 6 Flags while we are in the Bay area which will be so exciting for the kids as they are totally into watching old Looney Tunes reruns right now. They'll love meeting Bugs, Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird and all the other charactersat the theme park.
  • My parents will come for their spring break this month as well. It is always nice to have help for a whole week with the kiddos. It'll be fun for them to see E go to preschool, watch the kids at swimming lessons and soccer practice, and see G at her ballet class.
  • Luci turns 1 on the 22nd and I'm throwing a little cupcake themed birthday party for her. I got this huge cupcake mold and borrowed some cupcake displays for little cupcakes. I have some other creative ideas up my sleeves too. We will also be creating her time capsule that she'll get to open on her 18th birthday. We did this for the other kids and had friends and loved ones write prayers, blessings, hopes and dreams for our kiddos, and then we put in magazines, newspaper cut outs, coins, etc from their first year.
  • Throw my Dad and brother Andrew's birthdays in there at the end of the month, and you could say we've got ourselves a CRAZY month of March.
  • Oh, and my camera battery is dead and I've been searching high and low for the charger, and haven't come across it yet. It is probably buried in the birthday decorations pile on my dresser. So, no pictures for now, but I'll find it soon and post some more.
