First Day of Preschool

Here are some pictures of Emilio on his first day of preschool. He loved it! I think Gabi wishes she could have stayed, but Emilio firmly told her, "It is only for me Gabi, not you."

Garbanzo Bean Yellow

Here are a few pictures of our newly painted kitchen, thanks again Mom & Dad! It is so fresh, clean and bright now, I love it! Also you can see the beautiful $5.00 dollar bouquet of flowers I bought at the Farmer's Market on Tuesday.

Braids

Gabriela had her hair french braided by Nana (my mom) last week for the first time. She looked so darling. I've tried to replicate it but I'm just not as good as my mom is at braiding, especially on small children.

Slacker

I've been such a slacker on blogging, but it is only because I have had a fire lit under my behind to get things organized lately, I don't know, call it early nesting or whatever, but I'm on a purging, organizing, cleaning streak right now. Most of the credit can be given to my mom who spent last week at our house with my dad. She is always so motivated to get things done, and what with being so sick from my pregnancy this summer I haven't been able to get stuff done like I usually do. I'm finally starting to feel my nausea wane during the day at least so I was able to jump in and help too. Here is what has been going on in our house the last few weeks.

* My whole family took a trip to Terrabonne, OR a few weeks ago to our friend's the Gary's Ranch. Besides it being 104 degrees, we had fun in the pool, playing frisbee golf, bocce ball, card games and eating some of the richest food known to man (our friend Tyrene likes to cook and does it up big!) (pictures coming soon)
*The kids and I spent an impromptu week in Portland so I could have some help during a heightened few days of nausea for me.
*John started law school at Seattle University. He is going part time and is in class Monday-Thursday nights. It is an adjustment but we are cheering him on!
* Mom & Dad spent a week up here and painted our kitchen "Garbanzo Bean" yellow and it is beautiful. They also helped with the kids, made the yard look beautiful, and helped me get a jumpstart on organizing various nooks and crannies around the house.
*We all attended our friend's Matt & Laura's wedding last Friday night and had a grand ol' time. (Pictures coming soon)
* I got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time last week. Yesterday John, Emilio, Gabriela and I were able to see the little bambino via ultrasound, so amazing! I'm due on March 20th and almost out of my first trimester! (pictures coming soon)
* The kid's and I visited the Renton Farmers Market yesterday and enjoyed fresh raspberries, a Hawaiian Ice Shaving, and bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my new kitchen for only $5.00.
*Emilio had orientation for preschool this morning and starts officially tomorrow. He'll be going Tuesday and Thursday mornings to Rainbow Christian Preschool. (pictures coming soon).

So, there it is in a nutshell, we've been pretty busy enjoying the last weeks of Summer and starting off on our Fall schedule. I promise I'll get those photos up soon!

Dinner Cruise

On August 12th John's law firm hosted a summer party aboard the Argosy Cruise ship on Elloit Bay in Seattle. My brother and sis in law babysat for us and we had a date night (those are few and far between) so we were excited. We had a really nice evening visiting with John's coworkers, enjoying the view of downtown Seattle, and having a nice dinner aboard the cruise together.

Playing Catch Up

I'm a little behind on my posts because we've been out of town the last few weeks. A few weeks ago the kids had their last Toddler Twostep dance class. I caught a few pictures of them being silly.
