Specactular Spectacles

We will use Fancy Nancy's (one of Gabi's favorite children's book characters) name for her new accessory, Spectacular Spectacles.  At her recent five year checkup, Gabi failed the eye exam.  She was playing games with the nurse we thought, so we brought her back in, and she struggled again.  So, we took her to the optometrist, and sure enough, she needs glasses.  Both eyes need a prescription, but one eye is struggling more, which could result in a lazy eye eventually if not corrected.  So, Gabriela picked out PINK Jessica McClintock glasses, and they just arrived last Friday.  She looks darling in them, and is full of confidence at age 5.  It is helpful that her brother thinks she looks "AWESOME," too, and she has a few little guy friends from church that also wear glasses.
